1976-1986
Royal Australian Navy
The repair and maintenance of power generation and distribution equipment, rotating electrical machinery and domestic electrical services. Rewinding and repair of all types of motors, transformers and coils. Maintenance of batteries (Lead-acid and alkaline) and associated charger and discharge units. Watchkeeping in the engine room for performance monitoring and breakdown maintenance. Maintenance of ships gyro, automatic pilot, steering and navigational aids and ships stabilizers. Maintenance of ships fridges, freezers and air conditioning units.

1986
Cairns (Nth. Qld)
Worked installing elevators, duct and metal conduit, terminating building and multi-core cables in elevators, shafts and motor rooms.

1987-1988
Lithgow (NSW)
Worked as an electrician/stress reliever in the construction of Mt. Piper Power Station. Duties were pre-heating, stress relieving and recording welds to main steam pipes, maintenance of heat pads and stress relieving machines, documenting all stresses and maintaining all of the company's electrical appliances.
